We finally sold our house after almost 10 months of being for sale. It had been under contract for 3 months, which was a ridiculously long time and a little frustrating at times. I honestly can't believe it took so long to sell our house since we had done some improvements on it and it was nice, but that is neither here nor there. The important thing is that it is off our hands!
With the sale of our house we were able to use some of the money to buy a second car. We have made it work the last 8 months with only 1 car, but it isn't ideal by any means. It wasn't fun taking Joseph to work on the EARLY 5:30 mornings, but we did what we had to do when the kids and I needed the car. I'm sure most people wouldn't deal with the inconvenience, but we weren't willing to go into debt for a second car. It also helped that Joseph works many afternoons and evenings so we could get by without taking him to work on those days.
We are happy to be back to normal owning just one house and two cars instead of two houses and one car.
