I love November. It's always the lull between the busyness of October and December.
In honor of Grandma Zimmerman's birthday we tried one of her favorite sandwiches...peanut butter with pickles. I made one sandwich and I cut it into seven pieces so we could all try it. It wasn't terrible, but I think all of us agreed we wouldn't want to eat an entire sandwich. My little girls tried doing that later in the month and they decided it wasn't good enough to eat. I just love doing little things to remember some of our ancestors.
Joseph and Annika both received certificates this month. Joseph didn't want to pose for his so I helped him out. He was recognized for 10 years of work at SOS. It's hard to believe he has been at his current job for 10 years because that means we have lived in Syracuse 10 years. Time flies! Annika's award was for the Positivity Project trait of Self-Control. She was excited to receive an award since Eden and Lincoln were both recognized last month.
Eden's teacher's husband ran for family court judge in our November election. The kids loved pointing out the Corl signs as we would drive around town so I finally asked Eden's teacher if we could have a sign for our yard. Mr. Corl brought one over and he seemed as nice as his wife. Sadly, Mr. Corl didn't win the election, but my kids had an opportunity to be involved in politics. They frequently told me that they would tell their friends to tell their parents to vote for Jim Corl. They were SO disappointed when I told them that he didn't win. It's hard for a Republican to be voted into office in NY state!
Rebecah was released from her non-weight bearing status and has been walking in just a boot. She loves her new found freedom that came with the boot. She is wearing her boot for 4 weeks. The doctor is really pleased with how well her ankle has healed. If you look closely you can see her two incision marks.
Chandra had her 3rd baby on November 7! I made this little quilt for Rosie. I think it's one of my most favorite quilts that I have made, even if it isn't very babyish. I just love purple!
Joseph took the little kids to The MOST (The Museum of Science and Technology). I find The Most very boring so I was glad I didn't have to go. They had a great time, though!
Kimball worked the sidelines during the varsity football games this fall. He really enjoyed being at the games and feeling the excitement from the sidelines. The team made it all the way to regional playoffs and lost there.
Joseph and I attended an organ concert by Richard Elliott. It was an interesting experience, but I was a bit bored since very little of the music was familiar to me.

Joseph can make anything fun. I find sports cards a complete waste of money, but he and the kids love to collect cards and go through their collections. He and Annika attended a sports card show this month.
Thanksgiving! We had a Thanksgiving miracle this year. All of the kids were sick on Wednesday except for Annika who had been sick the previous weekend. I wasn't sure how we were going to have Thanksgiving dinner with everyone feeling off. I prayed really hard and enlisted my mom and sisters to pray for us and a miracle happened. All four of the kids felt well enough to eat Thanksgiving dinner! Eden and Lincoln relapsed later in the day, but they were able to enjoy dinner.
Our family has been following the World Cup and enjoyed watching quite a few of the games during the Thanksgiving break from school.
We are now on to December and so excited to be celebrating Christmas and our Savior!
