After our super busy October we had a quieter November at least that was photo worthy! We were still plenty busy.
A lot of our pictures from this month are of the everyday events in our family. It's just a good reminder to me that I love the prosaic things in life. I'm a natural homebody so I don't need to constantly be out and about to be happy. Home is best!! I attended the parent/teacher conferences for Kimball and Rebecah and the teachers had good things to say about the kids.

We had the snowiest November on record with roughly 20 inches of snow for the month. One day we had around 12 inches of snow so the kids had their first snow day of the year. They all love to play out in the snow, Lincoln especially. Lincoln just begs people to stay out longer so he doesn't have to go inside.
Joseph is such a good dad! He pulled out the snow blower and blew snow from the yard into a large mound so he could build a little snow cave for Lincoln. Lincoln had his little saw so he could saw the hardened snow. They make a great pair.
Lincoln seems to be our accident prone child. To make matters worse he always seems to have his worst accidents when Joseph is working. This month he fell off a stool and hit the side of his head on the tile floor. Blood was running out of his ear for a while and after the flood stopped it trickled the rest of the night and I had to put him to bed with a cloth on his pillow hoping it would help stop the blood. Joseph said that as long as Lincoln could hear we didn't need to worry. I still worried and did a lot of praying! By morning the bleeding had stopped and it was just tender for him.
At least we--I-- have been able to manage his injuries at home.
We had an nice Thanksgiving. I spend the first part of the week prepping for Thanksgiving day so it's less work on the actual day. We watched the Macy's Day parade and in the afternoon Kimball and Joseph watched football.
Everyone wanted to help carve the turkey and it was the fastest turkey carving to date! I'll happy let the kids help from here on out.
I probably made more pies than we needed for 7 people, but it was hard to decide on just 1 or 2 pies. I made Joseph an apple crisp Monday before Thanksgiving so he and the kids ate that for a few nights. I also made a pumpkin streusel pie, cranberry pie and caramel pecan pie. Those three pies were really good.
I'm in the market for a new treadmill and I just so happen to know that Santa is bringing me one so Joseph, Edie and I went to try some out. Edie enjoyed sitting on various pieces of equipment in the store.
We are now all decorated for Christmas and we are excited to be celebrating the Christmas season.
