Hill Cumorah Pagaent

This week we went to the Hill Cumorah Pageant in Palmyra, NY.  We had a good time and we enjoyed the pageant.  We arrived about 8:15 and the pageant started about 9:25.  There were quite a few people there, but we still managed to find seats so we didn't have to sit on the ground. It was nice that we could go on a week night instead of on the weekend when it would have been much busier.  Kimball really seemed to enjoy the Pageant, but Rebecah got bored and wanted me to read to her.

It was a late night...we got home about 12:30 am, but Joseph didn't work until 2:00 the next day so it worked out perfectly.  The kids let us sleep until 8:00 and it has been years since I have slept that late. Of course, the kids were rather grumpy the day after the pageant but they have sorted themselves out again.

I  feel so blessed to live in New York.  It is nice to be able to see all of the special church sites without having to travel in a car for 2 weeks to get to Palmyra like so many visitors do every summer.  The Hill Cumorah is actually one of Kimball's favorite places to visit when we visit Palmyra.
