Bike Rider

We have another bike rider in the family!  Kimball learned how to ride his bike without the training wheels a few weeks ago.  It took him about a week to get the hang of it and now he and Joseph try to go on rides every day.  Kimball is still fine tuning his skills, but he does great.  He gets distracted easily so we aren't quite ready to let him take off on his own.  As you can see from the pictures, his bike is WAY too small for him so we told him that we would buy him a bigger bike once he could ride without training wheels.  We figured the little bike would be closer to the ground so it wouldn't be too far to fall.  He fell and scraped his elbow and knee just one time so that is pretty good. 

The plan is to have a new bike waiting for Kimball when we get back from our vacation.  He'll be so excited!

Kimball and Joseph went a mile and a half last week before Kimball got tired.  That is pretty good for his little legs because he needs to pedal a lot to make the little tires go the distance.
